Vineyard Notes
Single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from Anderson Ranch in Sonoma Valley.
Production Notes
The growing season of 2014 was another drought year for California. The growing season was one of the driest on record, jump-starting with a warm and dry January and February. This led to an early February bud-break, but also ensured a long growing season with a mid-September harvest. Through spring and summer, the vines enjoyed near perfect temperatures with few heat spikes, allowing the grapes to achieve a density and color that is reflected in the wine.
Winemaker Notes
Our iconic Sonoma winemaker Don Van Staaveren, honored by Wine Spectator in 2000 for producing the number one wine among its "Top 100 Wines of the World," crafted this elegant Cabernet Sauvignon from the exclusive Anderson Ranch vineyard. Don, who began his career managing vineyards, earned acclaim as winemaker at Chateau St. Jean, Artesa, and Three Sticks wineries.
