2012 'Anderson Ranch Vineyard' Cabernet Sauvignon
Rich, ripe scents of blackberry, black plum, and red cherry combine in this Cabernet's complex, inviting nose. In the mouth, the wine is round and plush, offering ample flavors of loganberry, blackberry, and currant, with a dash of mocha on a fleshy and persistent finish.
Anderson Ranch Vineyard
Grapes for our flagship wine are grown in a unique vineyard on our home ranch, where tightly spaced head-trained, spur-pruned vines cling to the contours of a steep, 700-foot hillside. These slopes require farming completely by hand. This bowl-shaped site enjoys optimum south-southwest exposures and offers views of Sonoma Mountain and the distant Berkeley Hills. Well-drained soils vary from thick and rocky to more fertile, and contribute modest yields with a full array of flavors.
